Last year's (2010-11) grand prize was an overseas trip to see renewable energy in action.

The winning team, Charleston Academy in Inverness, won a four-day overseas trip to visit cutting edge examples of renewable energy generation in the Navarre region of Spain.

Runner up prize - a trip to the Eden Project.

The runner's up, The Nicolson Insitute in Stornoway, went on a two-day trip to the world-famous Eden Project in Cornwall.

But, nobody goes home empty-handed, with prizes at each stage, including brlliant digital keyrings, solar-powered torches and a thought provoking and informative book that will tell you the carbon footprint of everything.
